As pictured below, the 460MG Magnesium Head offers a 360° panoramic rotation as well as -30°/180° front and -180°/+30° lateral tilt.
The greatest versatility, however, comes from combining the 460MG Head with the tripod’s centre column in order to achieve different configurations. Pictured below are just some of the configurations that offer extended rotation capabilities to suit most indoor and outdoor situations.
The following configuration offers a 360° front as well as +90°/-90° lateral tilt. It’s especially useful when photographing the sky, stars etc. or shooting from above the subject in close-up studio photography. The lateral tilt also allows to adjust the horizon when standing on an uneven terrain and put the camera in portrait orientation.
Next configuration offers +180°/-30° front and +180°/-30° lateral tilt as well as 360° rotation. It’s especially useful when shooting out of the window or in situations where you need to lean over an obstacle such as a railing, small wall etc. as well as in close-up studio photography, when shooting from above the subject . The lateral tilt allows to correct the horizon and put the camera in portrait orientation.
